Inspired by
the success of Space Ship One’s historic flight on June 21, 2004 becoming the
first commercially owned rocket to take a man into space, The Million Pursuit
Odyssey is now in the process of achieving something no one has done before.
Building the first totally Internet funded mars landing vehicle. If one person could fund Space Ship One,
why couldn’t a spacecraft that is going to mars be funded by the millions of
people surf the Internet? Who wouldn’t want to be part of history? The project
code name will be The Internet Martian Lander or IML for short. The goal is
to send a spacecraft to Mars. This may seem like a lofty goal. But, with your
help, it is possible. Can a project
of this magnitude truly be accomplished by getting donations from people over
the Internet? Since this has never before been tried, there is only one-way
to find out. And this is the reason this page was created. At the minimum,
I expect to get the initial seed money to get the project up and running. But,
I believe that the entire funding for the project is possible. Together we can
make a Mission To Mars a dream realized. Preliminary
plans are in the works. But, funding for those plans will be needed. This is
where the seed money comes in. Once IML receives enough seed money plans for
the IML can be drafted and Phase 2 can be implemented. At the onset of Phase
2 more detailed information will be provided to all that have participated in
the project. It will also be shared through the Million Pursuit Newsletter. I
have started the IML fund with $1. Here is your chance to become part of
history by becoming a contributor to IML. The first way to help this project out
is to donate
funds. You can use the Make A Donation button to funds to donate via Paypal.
Click on the Contact Us link below and send your donation via Postal Mail. There are
other ways you can help out. One is to send items you no longer need to the
postal address. These items will be then used or sold to forward the cause of
the project. You can also
spread the word about the project be listing it on your website, creating a
website of you own and linking to this website, leaving the link to this
website in Guest books, leaving the link in Blogs, submitting this website to
search engines, submitting this website to award sites, and/or an other ideas
